Localizing product content can be challenging, especially if you manage an e-shop in several languages. To make this process as easy as possible, we've created ONE CHECK PAGE - an interface that simplifies checking and managing localized content directly on one page in the LOCO environment.

Where can you find ONE CHECK PAGE?

You can find the ONE CHECK PAGE in your LOCO administration. Just click on the Products section and select Check Localization.

By default, you have a list of all products, categories and parameters that require your attention.

How does ONE CHECK PAGE work?

ONE CHECK PAGE provides a centralized list of products, categories and parameters that need to be checked or adjusted. You can therefore easily make adjustments directly from this list, saving time you would otherwise spend navigating between different pages.

1. Easier product management

ONE CHECK PAGE allows detailed checks and editing. For each product, the translations of the name, description, extended description and short description can be checked and edited. With the Product Detail link, you can access a product preview and rating that shows the status of translation, approval, and export. The rating helps identify needed corrections.

Edits can be made either as phrases, where you can see the frequency of occurrence of the phrase, or as complete texts. When editing full texts, you can use HTML formatting, which must be saved before approval.

These tools provide flexibility in managing localized content, increasing efficiency and maintaining quality across different language versions.

In the product section of the ONE CHECK PAGE, you can also switch between phrase editing and full-text editing. If you prefer to edit descriptions as full text, you can easily switch the view using the Edit Full Text button located in the upper right corner of the product tab. This button allows you to work with the text in a broader context, which is ideal for more complex editing and formatting of content.

When working with full text in the ONE CHECK PAGE interface, it is important that any changes you make must first be SAVED before they can be approved. In addition, the system offers the option of using HTML tags to format your text, allowing you to customize the look of your content to your exact needs.

2. More efficient category localization

The interface for categories within the ONE CHECK PAGE works in a similar way to that of products. The main difference lies in the types of data that can be checked and edited in the categories. The process of checking and editing is then identical to that of products, ensuring consistency of work across the platform.

3. Checking all parameters

In the parameter section of the ONE CHECK PAGE, you can check and edit translations of product parameter names and values. This feature allows you to maintain consistency and accuracy of information across different language versions.

4. Consistent URL localization

For bulk editing of URLs in descriptions, it is advisable to use the URLs tab. Here you can see the number of repetitions of specific URLs and edit the link for a specific language in the edit box. Then confirm any changes by clicking the Replace button.

Easier localization approval process

First, choose the language in which you want to check the products in the menu. If you want to edit the translation, click on the phrase and decide whether the change is saved only for the specific product or for all occurrences of the phrase, past and future. You set the type of edit for the phrase or word when editing. To confirm the changes, press the Submit button.

Product approval

You have two options to approve a checked product:

1. Product approval without overwriting lock

If you do not check the Lock changes against overwriting option, the product will be approved and any future changes to the resource will be reflected in the approved product.

⚠️ For this type of approval your saved changes can be overwritten on subsequent updates from the import connection.

2. Product approval with overwriting lock

If you check the Lock changes against overwriting option, the product will be approved and further changes to the source will not be applied to the product, meaning that your edits will be preserved regardless of updates to the source.

Approved products are automatically hidden from the list after confirmation. You can use the filter to see them again. In addition, you can also filter and sort the products you plan to approve according to your preferences. These settings allow you to manage the approval process efficiently.
